Laid off employees of Lawrence Livermore National Security lost their bid to seek punitive damages in their age discrimination lawsuit against the lab. Judge Robert B. Freedman of Alameda County Superior Court on Monday granted the lab's motion to throw out the claim for punitive damages, saying that the former lab workers couldn't receive such damages because they had not alleged that age discrimination was intentional. ...
