U.S. District Judge Gary A. Feess will take senior status in March, opening up a judicial vacancy in the Central District of California. The country's most populous district is currently fully loaded with judges since the Senate confirmed U.S. District Judge Beverly Reid O'Connell in April. Senior status could give Feess the opportunity to reduce his caseload if he chooses. Feess was appointed by President Clinton in 1999.
