Fox, FilmOn settle trade libel suit

The broadcaster and the online upstart that transmits TV over the Internet have reached a confidential settlement, lawyers said.

Fox Broadcasting Co. and FilmOn.com Inc. have reached a confidential settlement in a dispute over trade libel, attorneys said Thursday.


FilmOn.com allows users to view broadcast network content over the Internet, including using its mobile apps. All four major broadcasters have filed suit against FilmOn, claiming copyright infringement, among other things.
