FormFactor Leads With First Tech Offering of 2003

It took half the year, but a technology company finally found its way to an initial public offering in 2003. FormFactor Inc. of Livermore has become the first U.S. tech company to go public this year. FormFactor, which makes equipment for testing computer chips, raised $84 million in its stock offering. The company opened for trading at $19 on the Nasdaq market June 12.
