Malibu courtroom closure costs big
Since the closure of the courtroom in June, the daily calendar of the combined courtrooms often exceeds 60 cases, beyond what most criminal trial courtrooms in the county endure. By Richard Herzog
My article recommending the state's court administration reconsider their misguided decision to close a courtroom in the courthouse in Malibu (which had only two courtrooms), because it put an unnecessary burden on the remaining bench officer and was also not cost effective, apparently fell on deaf ears.
