Chen to Get Senate Vote

The Senate agreed Thursday to vote on the confirmation of U.S. Magistrate Judge Edward M. Chen to be a district court judge in San Francisco.

WASHINGTON - The Senate agreed Thursday to vote on the confirmation of U.S. Magistrate Judge Edward M. Chen to be a district court judge in San Francisco, one year, eight months and 26 days after he was first nominated. The vote, which hasn't yet been added to the Senate's calendar, could come as early as Monday.
