Loyola Law School Hosts 5th Annual Fidler Institute for Criminal Justice
Loyola Law School hosted its 5th annual Fidler Institute on Criminal Justice on April 8 at its downtown Los Angeles campus. Discussions placed emphasis on cyberbullying, as well as investigation strategies for street and white collar crimes and managing celebrity cases. Keynote speaker Ronald McAndrew, former warden of Florida State Prison Death Row provided insight into the death penalty’s role in the legal system. To close, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of California Carlos R. Moreno, Los Angeles District Attorney Steve Cooley and Thomas A. Mesereau, Jr. of Mesereau & Yu, LLP, were presented with awards for their contributions to criminal justice.
