Pharma Company Wins $576 Million in Suit

Japanese drug company Asahi Kasei Pharma Corp. has won two huge verdicts in its case against a Swiss company over a hypertension medicine.

On Tuesday, a San Mateo County jury awarded Asahi Kasei Pharma Corp. $30 million in punitive damages against three executives of the Swiss company Actelion Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
