An official with Rams Hill Country Club said he plans to add a new 18-hole, links-style golf course and an expanded health club to the Borrego Springs resort.
Bill Berkley, a co-owner of Rams Hill, said the future development is possible because between 150 and 200 acres of citrus farms were fallowed at the northern end of the Borrego Valley within the past two years.
"That translates to about 800 acre-feet of water for us," Berkley said. "We are a net zero water user."
