Jury Trial on Retardation Claim Wasn't Needed, Supreme Court Says
LOS ANGELES - The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeal erred when it ordered the state of Arizona to conduct jury trials to resolve a death-row inmate's claim of mental retardation, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday.
