Feds No Substitute For Motivated DAs

Letter to the Editor - I am the assistant district attorney in charge of major cases and homicides for the Santa Clara County district attorney's office. I also supervise the adult gang unit that prosecutes all gang cases, including gang homicides. I noted with interest in [the SF Sept. 21/the LA Sept. 23] Daily Journal that San Francisco seems to be the only county in the Bay Area that needs the federal government to help them with their gang problem.
