Judge Takes Credit Lyonnais Case Off Calendar

LOS ANGELES - The long-running Credit Lyonnais saga may continue to simmer indefinitely, according to the federal judge hearing the case. In a terse one-paragraph order filed Monday, U.S. District Judge A. Howard Matz accused the parties of making "largely hypothetical and transparently exaggerated contentions" and submitting a "typically (and probably unnecessary) huge volume of paperwork" in a recent spate of motions.
