Senior U.S. District Judge Gives New Meaning to Low-Key

LOS ANGELES - U.S. District Judge Robert M. Takasugi enters his courtroom with the least amount of fanfare imaginable. Takasugi simply appears and takes his place behind the bench. Court sessions are not preceded by a call to stand up, a recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance or trappings found in other courtrooms.
