Stop-Notice Procedures Will Match Mechanics Lien Law

Focus Column - Construction Law - By Bernard S. Kamine - Civil Code Section 3262(b) has been amended to allow the release of a stop notice - and the appropriate service of a subsequent one - to facilitate settlement of payment disputes among prime contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on both public and private construction projects.
