In "Brown Faces Scrutiny for Judicial Appointments" (Oct. 15), Atty. Gen. Jerry Brown is criticized for a number of judicial appointments he made when he was governor. Presumably some of the criticism is well-founded, while some of it is not. Like every California governor before and after, Brown made both good and bad judicial appointments.
