SAN DIEGO - Next month, a reentry court system is slated to begin here that officials plan to expand throughout the state in an effort to ease California's overburdened prisons.
On Tuesday, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors approved a $1.5 million grant from the California Emergency Management Agency to fund the court for the first two years.
