New Bankruptcy Rules Address Privacy, Data Issues
Focus Column - Bankruptcy Law - By Wesley H. Avery and Steven T. Gubner - The U.S. Supreme Court's amendments to the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure took effect Dec. 1. These changes to the rules and the official forms address individual privacy, corporate-ownership disclosures and the information that bankruptcy-petition preparers must submit. A new fee schedule also took effect Nov. 1 and is available on Bankruptcy Court Web sites.
