Court OKs Limited Checkpoints

WASHINGTON - Handing police a new crime-fighting weapon, the Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that motorists' Fourth Amendment rights are not violated when officers stop and detain them briefly at a checkpoint while seeking information on a recent crime.
