Omni Hotel owner says it overpaid for $12 million space below downtown LA hotel

Owner of Omni Hotels & Resorts is suing over claims it was shut out of negotiations to purchase space below the downtown Los Angeles hotel, resulting in overpayment.

The owner of Omni Hotels & Resorts in downtown Los Angeles is suing a state redevelopment agency over claims it overpaid for a $12 million, 1.16-acre space below the luxury hotel after being shut out of the negotiation process for the sale, according to a lawsuit filed in state court this week.
