Panel Rebukes Judge for Lack Of Empathy for Very Ill Lawyer
LOS ANGELES - In a scathing rebuke, a state appellate court ruled Tuesday that an Orange County judge lacked empathy when he refused to continue a hearing in a wrongful-death claim, despite evidence that the plaintiffs' attorney was gravely ill with cancer and could not offer an adequate response.
