$2.3 Billion Awarded in Trade Secrets Case

A Los Angeles County Superior Court jury awarded $2.3 billion to medical device manufacturer St. Jude Medical for misappropriation of trade secrets from its subsidiary Pacesetter.

In a case in which the defendants did not appear for trial, a Los Angeles County Superior Court jury awarded $2.3 billion to medical device manufacturer St. Jude Medical Inc. for misappropriation of trade secrets from its subsidiary Pacesetter Inc. by former employee Yongning Zou and his company Nervicon Co. Ltd.


The jury decision entered Friday ended a weeklong trial before Judge Ruth Ann Kwan.
