MGA Wins Huge Verdict Against Mattel

A federal court jury handed MGA Entertainment Inc. a massive victory Thursday, dismissing Mattel Inc.'s attempt to capture the company's billion-dollar Bratz doll brand in a seven-year intellectual property war.

SANTA ANA - A federal court jury handed MGA Entertainment Inc. a massive victory Thursday, dismissing Mattel Inc.'s attempt to capture the company's billion-dollar Bratz doll brand in a seven-year intellectual property war.


After deliberating eight days following a three-month trial, jurors also awarded MGA $88.4 million in its suit accusing Mattel of stealing its ideas for new concepts...
