SACRAMENTO - Appellate Justice Richard Huffman plans to step down from the California Judicial Council, after 14 years on the judiciary's governing body.
He is the latest in a string of high-level resignations by top state courts officials, starting with last month's announcement that William C. Vickrey, director of the Administrative Office of the Courts, will retire in September.
