U.S. health officials released a voluminous and hotly anticipated set of proposed regulations that will determine how doctors and hospitals are paid under health care reform.

U.S. health officials released on Thursday a hotly anticipated set of proposals for a key program under federal health care reform that would dramatically change the way health care providers are paid.


The proposed regulation defines what kind of relationship physicians, health plans and medical facilities may have without running afoul of antitrust laws.
