Paula Abdul Objects to Use of Name in Diet Ads

Entertainer Paula Abdul, a former Lakers cheerleader who took her singing and dancing talents to the top of the pop charts in the late 1980s, has filed a $1 million complaint against a self-described Beverly Hills "diet guru" she claims exploited her name in advertising a "miracle" weight loss diet without her consent.
