Howard Jarvis Association Sues to Try to Stop Prop. 187 Mediation

SACRAMENTO - A taxpayer group sued Gov. Gray Davis Tuesday to try to stop the mediation of Proposition 187, claiming the governor is legally obligated to pursue an appellate court ruling on the constitutionality of the 1994 ballot initiative limiting benefits to illegal immigrants.
