Open Meeting Law Is Restricted by Court

SAN FRANCISCO - The California Supreme Court on Tuesday all but killed a novel student lawsuit against the elimination of affirmative action in the state's universities, ruling that the students cannot rely on the state's open meeting law to attack the 1995 vote of the University of California regents.
