Fenwick helps Cisco buy Israeli company

Fenwick & West LLP partners Douglas N. Cogen and Kris S. Withrow advised San Jose-based Cisco Systems Inc. on its proposed $5 billion buy of Israel-based NDS Group Ltd.

PALO ALTO - Fenwick & West LLP partners Douglas N. Cogen and Kris S. Withrow advised San Jose-based Cisco Systems Inc. on its proposed $5 billion acquisition of Israel-based NDS Group Ltd.

NDS makes video software, and is owned by New York-based News Corp. and private equity firm Permira. The company and its owners were advised by a New York-based team from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates.
