Former patent litigator files first complaint as plaintiffs' attorney

A patent defense powerhouse-turned-plaintiffs' attorney has filed his first case on behalf of a patent holding company, which is suing Internet retailer Amazon.com, Inc. for patent infringement.

A patent defense powerhouse-turned-plaintiffs' attorney has filed his first case on behalf of a patent holding company, which is suing Internet retailer Amazon.com, Inc. for patent infringement.


Matthew Powers is representing Menlo Park-based OIP Technologies Inc., which claims Amazon is illegally using its technology that helps websites optimize the prices they set for goods and services.
