After listening for months to particularly nasty, negative campaigns for the country's highest office, it was distressing to read the guest column by Justice Arthur Gilbert regarding upcoming judicial elections in California. For those who were fortunate enough to miss it, the judge compared some lawyers seeking judicial office to dogs. Not just any dogs, mind you, but salivating hounds.
