We write to confirm the Volunteer Legal Service Program's full support of San Francisco's Right to Counsel Ordinance. Some of the statements made in the Feb. 29 article, "SF passes ordinance to explore civil Gideon services," suggest a split in views regarding whether San Francisco should pursue this path.
