Judge rules in favor of 9th Circuit attorney in DOMA case

SAN FRANCISCO - A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals staff attorney is entitled to enroll her wife in her employee health plan, despite language in the federal Defense of Marriage Act that seeks to deny health coverage to same-sex couples, a Northern District federal judge ruled Wednesday.
