Former DA acquitted in case

A former district attorney in Del Norte County has been acquitted by a jury of all charges stemming from an incident at a Safeway in Crescent City.

A former district attorney in Del Norte County has been acquitted by a jury of all charges stemming from an incident at a Safeway in Crescent City, the main hub of the sparsely populated county.

Michael Riese was found not guilty of one count of driving while under the influence, two counts of reckless endangerment, and a single count of public intoxication on Feb. 14.
