Judge Enjoins Deportation of Abused Child
A federal judge issued a preliminary injunction Monday allowing a Romanian teen-ager to remain in this country. The 15-year-old girl was to have been deported to Romania, where she says no one wants or is able to care for her, after her father, a naturalized U.S. citizen, sexually abused her in the home they shared for only two months. Roberta, a pseudonym for the girl who has been in foster care for nearly two years, was raised in Romania by relatives of her father after her mother abandoned
