Crime Victims Need Not Share Restitution With Their Insurers

SAN FRANCISCO - Settling a controversial area of criminal restitution, the California Supreme Court ruled Thursday that insurance companies are not entitled to be compensated by defendants when they reimburse crime victims for their financial losses.
