Assembly Bill Gives California Chance To Grant Residents Dignified Death

Lowe - The confluence of the movie "Million Dollar Baby" and the political struggle of Terri Schiavo have brought the issue of the right to die with dignity to the national forefront. But while the movie deals with the subject in a compassionate and courageous manner, the Republican Party has exploited Terri Schiavo's case in a bid to placate and appease the religious right and other extremists who want to turn our nation into a theocracy of Christian fundamentalism.
