Compton Judge Lives, Dies for Lakers, Fighting Injustice

LOS ANGELES - The lone picketer outside the Great Western Forum was undaunted. Not even free tickets to the Lakers game could entice the diehard fan into putting down his "Fan On Strike" sign and enjoying the first game of the 1998-99 season - a season that had been delayed by an owner's lockout.
