Title Firm Settles With City for $20.6 Million

SAN FRANCISCO - After eight years of litigation, Old Republic Title Co. has decided to give up its legal battle with San Francisco and has paid $20.6 million to settle claims that it illegally swept money and uncashed checks from old escrow accounts into its own coffers.
