New Questioning Techniques Orient Jurors, Uncover Biases
Column - Voir Dire - By Andrea Mosmann - California's one-day, one-trial jury service system has led to increased juror turnout and improved juror satisfaction. The system, however, allows for up to 70 percent of jurors to be sent home without having sat on a panel. Indeed, a recent study predicts that the new system may cause some courts, including those in Los Angeles County, to run out of jurors unless the process is made more efficient.
