Sentencing Delayed in Hammer Attack on Lawyer

Mulji Patel, 79, was convicted of attacking opposing counsel with a hammer in his workers' compensation case. He had earlier held a gun to another lawyer's head. His sentencing was postponed to April 29.

PASADENA - A Superior Court judge Thursday delayed sentencing Mulji Patel, a 70-year-old Arcadia man twice convicted of attacking opposing lawyers in his workers' compensation case, the latest time with a hammer.
