San Bernardino Supervisors Decide Not to Ax Judges' Perks

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday voted against cutting benefits for judges, but approved efforts to study such cuts. The move comes on the heels of criticism leveled at states' judges for not sharing in the budget pain.

SAN BERNARDINO - The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors decided against stripping its Superior Court judges of county-paid benefits Tuesday but voted to further explore the issue, underscoring ongoing controversy over so-called judicial "perks" as the county and the state weather an unprecedented economic crisis.
