Scholar's Views on Death Penalty Border on Barbaric

Shafiroff's article, "Ultimate Sanction: Execution, A Moral Society Has Death Penalty for Punishing the Worst" (Jan. 21, Forum), in which he extols the moral virtue of the death penalty and excoriates David Westerfield's attorney for daring to defend him.
