Jurist Has Tried His Hand At Prosecuting, Defending

LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Arthur M. Lew got a judicial appointment when he least expected it. The news came one January night in 1991. Gov. George Deukmejian was wrapping up his last week in office, and Lew had given up on the idea of becoming a judge.
