Labor Panel Holds Retailer Liable

LOS ANGELES - In a victory for sweatshop opponents, the California labor commissioner has ruled that clothing retailer The Wet Seal can be held liable for wage and overtime violations by a sewing-shop contractor that made the company's garments.
