Budget proposal bad news for new projects
Council will consider delaying four courthouse construction projects at Jan. 17 meeting, others likely to be frozen for year or more.

Courthouse construction projects in Fresno, Los Angeles, Sacramento and Nevada counties will likely be indefinitely suspended in the next few weeks as a result of Gov. Jerry Brown's budget proposal, while a number of other construction projects would be put on ice until at least 2014.
