HP faces employment class action for unpaid overtime

Eric Benedict alleges in his complaint that Hewlett-Packard Co. misclassified workers like himself for salary purposes, preventing them from earning overtime pay.

A former Hewlett-Packard Co. employee filed a class action in the Northern District of California Thursday, alleging the company misclassified workers like himself, preventing them from earning overtime pay.


Hewlett-Packard hired employees like the plaintiff to install and maintain computer software and hardware for other companies that purchased Hewlett-Packard products, according to the complaint. ...
