High Court Librarian Denies She Discriminated

SAN FRANCISCO - Defending herself against charges that she retaliated against an employee who was often ill, the director of the California Judicial Center Library testified Thursday that she never knew librarian Karen Toran had chronic asthma before firing her three years ago.
