Doctor Hit By Lamp Wins $4 Million

SANTA ANA - A unique trial in which defense counsel requested that a jury determine damages before it assigned liability resulted in a Superior Court jury awarding $4 million to a Newport Beach microsurgeon who was injured when a 30-pound operating lamp fell on his head during surgery.
