Edward Chapin has left the firm he founded in 1987 to join San Francisco's Gordon & Rees. Chapin built his reputation on the San Diego legal scene as the leader of Chapin Shea McNitt & Carter. He left that firm behind to join the local office of Gordon & Rees as a partner April 29.
