SACRAMENTO - A lawyer sued former state Insurance Commissioner Chuck Quackenbush and 18 insurance companies Monday, contending he illegally accepted - and they illegally gave - campaign contributions when they had regulatory matters awaiting Quackenbush's approval while he was in office.
